Why does God allow the delay in His promises? This is a separate issue from why God changes His mind? Which is an amazing thing we see in the story of how Moses debated with God and caused God to change His mind about destroying the nation of Israel. The below passage may give us some insight into why God delays His promises. It seems to apply to situations where a critical move of God is pending because society is flipping upside down. The Government of Israel sponsored the sin of infant sacrifice by being complicit with Satanic religions that promoted this – Baal worship. Today our affluent society, among others, has exported much evil worldwide, one of the most grievous being the sin of pedophilia. It is associated with world leaders who are becoming partners with the Satanic and flipping the law of God.
Isaiah 5:18-20 NKJV
18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity,
And sin as if with a cart rope;
19 That say, “Let Him make speed and hasten His work,
That we may see it;
And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come,
That we may know it.”
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Those who are involved in Satanic purposes become brazen in their attitude toward God as seen here. I believe that through delay, God may hook those plotting the destruction of a nation using demonic help, by allowing them to choose to mock God – this is what happens in verse 19, which He then puts to an end.
Galatians 6:7 NKJV says: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. The following are just some thoughts to consider.
Perhaps it is for the purpose of drawing the wicked into a trap, drawing them over “legal” constraints that God allows Himself to be restrained by. That by their own mouth they accelerate their judgment. God executes judgment in order to save a nation and in our case the entire world from destruction. I believe the world is a far more legal domain than we realize. We are not fully aware of how God has constrained Himself. The teachings about the courts of heaven are important to understand and it seems God has placed it on the hearts of many of his teachers, such as Robert Henderson, Greg and Val Kurjata, and Tom Deuschle. Is it possible that God draws the wicked into judgment by delays that entice them to mock God.
